Free vending machines for homeless people are going to be launched in the U.S. in 2018

Well, we have a lot of 24/7 coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants etc. but how about  24/7 Free vending machines to serve needy and homeless people.

A charitable organization in the United Kingdom is trying to do exactly that! This free-to-use service is the work of a Nottingham-based organization called Action Hunger. They are making and testing vending machines which dispense essential items like water, fresh fruit, energy bars & drinks and sandwiches, and socks, gloves, towels, toothbrush and toiletries, and blankets. for poverty-stricken people.

Access to the vending machines is only permitted to those in need, and items can only be emitted with the use of a special key card that Action Hunger issues.

Action Hunger Cards:

These key cards issued by Action Hunger can be used to get up to only three items per day, a number that maintains the balance and Action Hunger hopes this will enable needy people to get some help, without becoming too dependent on the vending machines.

Right now the first machine is under trial in Nottingham, with a plan to expand to other major cities including Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Brighton next and action hunger will be installing the machines in the United States in February 2018.
